Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu ( jap. (乃木坂春香の秘密, jap.), dt. „Haruka Nogizakas Geheimnis“) basiert auf einer Light-Novel von Yúsaku Igarashi und wurde von Yasuhiro Miyama illustriert. In dem von ASCII Media Works herrausgegeben Magazin Dengeki Hp erschienen 2002 die ersten Kapitel. 2004 dann wurde die Light-Novel komplett veröffentlicht. Da diese sehr beliebt war, erschienen im Jahr 2006 auch Mangas dieser Serie, ebenfalls von ASCII Media Works. Am 26. August 2006 wurde dann im Dengeki Moeoh das erste Kapitel herrausgegeben. Dem Manga folgte auch ein Anime, der von Barcelona Studios produziert und veröffentlicht wurde. Er wurde zwischen Juli und September 2008 ausgestrahlt. Ebenfalls ist eine Adaption in Form eines Spiels für die Playstation 2 erschienen. Eine zweite Staffel der Serie wurde bereits von ASCII Media Works angekündigt und das Release Datum soll bald bekannt gegeben werden.

Handlung

Die Geschichte handelt von dem männlichen Protagonisten Yúto Ayase und seine Klassenkameradin Haruka Nogizaka. Yúto, der eigentlich nichts mit der sogenannten Otaku (dt. ein großer Fan der Anime und Manga)-Kultur zu tun hat, erfährt durch Zufall von Harukas strengst gehütetem Geheimnis, von dem nicht einmal ihre Eltern wissen. Die Story beginnt damit, dass Yúto ein ausgeliehenes Buch zurück in die Bibliothek bringen will und dabei mit Haruka zusammenstößt, woraufhin dieser ein Manga aus der Tasche fällt. Es stellt sich heraus, das diese verrückt nach Animes und Mangas ist, also ein waschechter Otaku. Haruka ist zunächst sehr geschockt darüber, dass ihr Geheimnis gelüftet ist und meidet Yúto ab dem Zeitpunkt. Doch Yúto gelingt es, mit ihr zu reden und erklärt ihr, dass er es niemandem erzählen wird. Nach diesem Ereignis werden die beiden gute Freunde und nach und nach auch mehr...

Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu ist ein romantischer und vor allem lustiger Anime, der durch seine vielen Aspekte auf den oft herabgesehen Otaku-Teil der japanischen Gesellschaft zeigt und somit verdeutlichen will das es gar nicht schlimm ist, einer zu sein.
